One of America’s most well-known spokespeople admitted his guilt Wednesday, signaling he would seek mental help and head to prison for at least five years. The couple have two young children together.

CNN has quoted U.S. Attorney John Minkler that Jared “has notified the court that he intends to plead guilty”. Four of the victims are now adults, while 10 are still minors. That number may increase should more victims be discovered through the course of the investigation. They found 14 victims, to whom Fogle will likely have to pay restitution. He was jeered as he left court.
“During these discussions, the Defendant stated that he would accept a 16-year-old girl, while stating that the younger the girl, the better”, officials claim. They also expressed concern for the well-being of those affected by his actions. Fogle appeared in an Indianapolis federal courtroom Wednesday on child sex and child pornography charges.
These videos allegedly show children as young as 6 years old engaged in sexual acts.
After the July raid, Subway announced that it had “mutually agreed” to suspend its relationship with Fogle, saying that both the company and its star pitchman “agree that this was the appropriate step to take”.
Fogle sent a text to the girl the following day in which he offered “to pay her a fee if she could find him an underage girl to engage in commercial sex acts”. Investigators said they discovered a cache of sexually explicit photos and videos Taylor allegedly produced by secretly filming minor children at his home.
Taylor was arrested on April 29 and charged with three counts each of child exploitation, possession of child pornography and voyeurism.
“The former franchisee shared the texts and her concerns about Fogle with Subway management at the time, her lawyer says, but Subway did nothing”. He also asked if Fogle had read documents detailing the charges he faced.
Under the agreement, Fogle would become a registered sex offender and undergo treatment for sex disorders in addition to serving the prison time.

Fogle, who appeared in court on Wednesday, is expected to enter the plea at a later date.

In a statement Wednesday, Fogle’s wife Katie Fogle said that she is “extremely shocked and disappointed” by the allegations against her husband.
Fogle’s defense attorney Jeremy Margolis, with the Chicago law firm Loeb & Loeb, said, “Fogle knows he can’t undo the damage that was done, but will do all that’s within his power to make it right”.
That will likely be several months away, according to a spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office.
The statement was released on behalf of “the Fogle family” and didn’t specify whether Katie Fogle also endorsed it.
