WikiLeaks dump could confirm Sanders fans’ worst fears about the DNC
She attended the 2008 Democratic National Convention as a Clinton delegate, although President Obama had locked up the nomination by that point.

This week has been all about the Republicans mudslinging and criticizing their Democratic opponents.
Several of the emails released indicate that the officials, including Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, grew increasingly agitated with Clinton’s rival, Bernie Sanders, and his campaign as the primary season advanced, in one instance even floating bringing up Sanders’ religion to try and minimize his support.
That’s all in the rearview mirror now, as Dems coalesce around their nominee and prep for a week of speeches, floor votes and so very many balloons.
“I think the contrast between the Republican convention and the Democratic convention is going to be pretty stark”.
Clinton’s biggest problem as a candidate right now is her personal image: many voters see her as untrustworthy, power-hungry, and unprincipled. Cory Booker, Texas Rep. Joaquin Castro, South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn, former Arizona Rep.
Who’s going from Central New York? Chuck Schumer and Massachusetts Sen.
The Clinton Campaign is expected to send out the VP announcement to Hillary supporters first via text message.
The delegation includes 63 delegates pledged to vote for Sanders, though it doesn’t seem likely they’ll raise major objections to Clinton’s nomination. Tim Kaine, of Virginia, viewed by many as a “safe” choice because he is a moderate and rarely makes mistakes.
And while that description may sound positive for its sheer idealism, it does not seem to account for the fact that banks and corporations effectively own both major parties, and that almost every top Democrat is in various ways connected to the very same entities. “It’s time to restore democracy in the Democratic Party”.
But tougher to clean up and shine is the state’s political image. Hall said after watching the Republican National Convention this week, he’s looking forward to a change of tone and rhetoric from his party. From a public relations branding perspective, she is essentially the female Bernie Sanders, a progressive Democrat who presents herself as an ally of working people and an enemy of bankers.
Convention organizers estimated the event would pump about $350 million into the local economy.
Clinton’s campaign responded that two members of law enforcement are scheduled to speak at the July 25-28 convention, including former Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey.

As for the performers slated to participate in the convention, ABC News reported late last week that the outlet had obtained a scheduling document for the 2016 Democratic National Convention outlining more than 170 events happening around the city featuring artists including Lenny Kravitz, Janelle Monae, Lady Gaga, Idina Menzel, and Cyndi Lauper. Nearby FDR Park will have six protest zones, plus first aid and water stations. Laurie Cestnick, an organizer with a group called Occupy DNC convention, said she expects her march and rallies in support of Sanders to be peaceful. One organizer told a local TV station that he got city approval for 30,000 demonstrators at FDR Park.
