WikiLeaks releases hacked DNC voicemails

On the night President Obama and Vice Presidential nominee Tim Kaine were scheduled to speak to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, the anti-secrecy whistle-blower group released hacked voicemails of top Democratic officials.

While most of the voicemails were merely callers leaving their numbers for a call back, some callers addressed their dislike for Bernie Sanders and the DNCs’ involvement with him.

“I’m furious for what you are doing for Bernie Sanders. He’s getting way too much influence”, one caller remarked. “I’m on a fixed income”.

“It raises questions about the natural instincts of Clinton that when confronted with a serious domestic political scandal, she tries to blame the Russians, blame the Chinese, et cetera”, Assange told CNN. “I spent over $300, donated to Hillary, and what I see is the DNC bending over backwards for Bernie, and Bernie is the worst person in the world to even be running in the Democratic Party because he’s not a Democrat”.

She added that Sanders’ criticisms of Clinton were giving Trump all of his talking points, and that the senator’s supporters were not of her concern because most would vote for Clinton anyway.

“What we have right now is the Hillary Clinton campaign using a speculative allegation about hacks that have occurred in the past to try and divert attention from our emails, another separate issue that WikiLeaks has published”, Assange said.

The emails showed an apparent collusion on the committee to help Clinton get the party’s presidential nomination.

The release comes days after WikiLeaks released internal DNC emails which forced the resignation of chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and sent the convention into a frenzy earlier this week.
