Will Coulson ardor Captain America Team?

A new teaser clip for episode 20 of “Agents of S.H.I.E.LD.” season 3 titled “Emancipation” will feature Phil Couson’s (Clark Gregg) side in the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War” as he meets General Glenn Talbot (Adrian Pasdar) in an undisclosed location possibly a bar or restaurant.

Following the events of Captain America: Civil War “Emancipation” opened this week with Coulson and May musing over the Sokovia Accords and what it could mean for their team.

We see a large missile that’s about to get launched.

With the Sokovia accords implemented, Captain America and the rest of the his Avengers team are branded renegades to the public and it will not be long for Coulson’s team to be the target of the accords knowing that they will not side with them. It’s most likely that our team will be allowed to act covertly going forward but the issue needed to be raised on screen especially with this many Inhumans in play.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.

We find this week that Daisy has unsurprisingly hacked into her former team’s camera feed. This episode did a good job of weaving through storylines, letting us only glimpse enough of Daisy and Lincoln’s exchanges leaving us as an audience unsure of either one of their true intentions.

The Quinjet arrives at Hive’s abandoned mall, where he’s expecting Lincoln. but it’s Lash!

Though it was fleeting in nature, the fight between Lash and Hive was pretty spectacular.

Regardless, this episode proved a major moment for Lincoln’s relationship with the team – since he was finally forced to take on a standalone role in Daisy’s absence (and actually put her at potential risk to further the mission to kill Hive). Daisy freaks out, shoots quakes at James, and flies back to SHIELD HQ. We went from being fearful of Lash to loving him, only to then being incredibly sad when it looked like the character was dead.

After fighting off the primitive Inhumans, Lash fights off a weak Daisy quake and then takes the Hive parasites out of her and destroys them. Hive, who is not the least bit concerned with her severe blood loss, takes Daisy to view the experiment. The weird thing is that it felt like two separate shows: the first half nearly resembled a clip episode (I’m thinking of the seasonal Stargate: SG1 filler episodes), focusing on what’s happened so far, but without the clips; while the second half was engaging and moved the plot forward in some unexpected ways. The comic book Alphas were very strong but nearly mindless. Despite the best of intentions, Coulson has seen first hand how things can be corrupted over time.

It was previously seen that Elizabeth Henstride’s Simmons has been trying to develop a cure which will rid the Inhumans of their powers and make them normal. Accepting the results, Hive begins to plan, of course, to infect everyone on the planet with this new concoction.

Still, with Hive now wielding a stolen warhead with which he intends to turn a good chunk of the human race into “primitive” Inhumans, an all-too-biblical apocalypse could very well be fast approaching, and Talbot may yet be proven correct in his support of the Accords. Sure, he’s impulsive and makes decisions based on emotions, but he’s not an inherently bad guy. And if by some miracle you have missed the extensive yet slightly exhausting marketing, someone will die next week! Surprisingly, and interestingly, this is the same necklace she hands over to Mack, so she may have just doomed one of the main members of SHIELD – we’ll find out next week. Will he be the one to perish on this inevitable space flight next week? Damn this show for making me root for Hive.
