Will Donald Trump win the U.S. presidential election?

“We will honor the American people with the truth, and nothing else”, is how Donald Trump started his acceptance speech on Thursday night at the Republican National Convention.

“Ohio’s a snapshot of the country”.

Trump almost shouted the names of states where police officers had been killed recently, as the crowd erupted in applause and returned repeatedly to the major theme of the speech: “Law and order”, he said four times, each time drawing out the syllables. Clinton needs to wrest back political momentum after a chaotic Republican National Convention that dominated the news over the past week. The Texas senator refused to endorse Trump in a Wednesday night speech, drawing boos from the convention crowd.

“Here’s what I want you to remember”, Clinton said closing out her remarks.

The Herald also reported there were more Google searches for the 34-year-old businesswoman than for her father.

CLEVELAND-Donald John Trump accepted the Republican presidential nomination on Thursday night (Friday in Manila) with an unusually vehement appeal to Americans who feel their country spiraling out of control, and yearn for a leader they feel will take aggressive, even extreme, actions to protect them.

Trump delivered his speech from a teleprompter Thursday, speaking forcefully and directly about the the nation’s ills, where he pledged to built a wall on the border and go after ISIS. We just have some fundamental disagreements”, he said, chuckling, “including a few areas: “trade, immigration, foreign policy”. But I don’t want his endorsement. “And we’ll see what happens in the future”. He did sound like a different sort of Republican at times, though, making no mention of abortion-a core issue for many Republicans. “Although she would be good, I will say”.

“Undertaking a presidential campaign and beginning to understand all the false promises, and all that other stuff, that’s not something that you look forward to”, Kasich said. I knew exactly what his speech was, because when you go up to speak, you have to give your speech. “I have no clue”.

For the party leadership, the focus on Clinton presented an easy solution for rallying the party behind its most controversial candidate in recent history.

But in a nod to a broader swath of Americans voting in November, he vowed to protect gays and lesbians from violence and oppression, and said he would ensure that young people in predominantly black cities “have as much of a right to live out their dreams as any other child in America”. “That was then, and we’re moving on. I can’t tell you exactly what happened”.

Trump chose Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate.

The selection of a running mate is one of the most critical governing decisions a candidate makes, and also a key organizing moment for the campaign as the general election ramps up.

Kasich said he planned to campaign for Republican U.S. senators up for reelection, such as John McCain of Arizona and Mark Kirk of IL.
