Will Jim Furyk play in the Presidents Cup? Who is his replacement?
Jim Furyk, who has competed in seven Presidents Cup, has officially withdrawn from the event due to an ongoing wrist injury.

Furyk pulled out of last week’s season-ending Tour Championship with a wrist contusion that he suffered during the pro-am for the Deutsche Bank Championship.
After rest and treatment, the 45-year-old Furyk did not think he was fit enough to play.
United States captain Jay Haas picked Holmes as Furyk’s replacement.
The matches start Thursday in South Korea.
Jay Haas made the announcement on Friday with the tournament on deck next week.
The Ryder Cup’s little brother, the Presidents Cup, may lack a few of the fire of its older sibling, but hey, it’s still entertaining.
The President’s Cup is a biennially event that features a team comprised of USA golfers vs. a team comprised of the World not including members from Europe. Holmes finished 12th in those standings – just outside the top 10 who automatically qualified. He represented the United States in the 2008 Ryder Cup, held in his home state of Kentucky, and posted a 2-0-1 record.
Furyk typically doesn’t play much in the fall, and he said that would give his wrist time to heal.
“Jim did everything he could to be ready, and I’m sad that he won’t be able to play”, Haas said in a statement about Furyk, who would have been playing in his eighth Presidents Cup.

“He has been a leader for our team for many years and he will be greatly missed. I am so excited for this honor and look forward to joining my great teammates in Korea”.
