Will Mad Max Director George Miller Take Over Man Of Steel 2?
He was all set to direct Man of Steel 2 for release in 2015, but those plans changed as the sequel morphed into Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which hits theaters spring 2016. Plus, there’s the tiny detail that Miller was supposed to direct DC’s first attempt at a Justice League movie back in 2008.

This past summer, Miller returned to the film series on which he built his reputation with ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’.
And it’s not just idle speculation either. According to Jon Schnepp who directed the documentary of Tim Burton’s cancelled movie “Superman Lives“, Miller is expected to direct the sequel, reported Ace Showbiz. The 2013 film was also considered a reboot of the Superman universe, using no actors from the previous installment of “Superman Returns“.
In a recent of episode of Popcorn Talk (via Comicbook.com) Schnepp briefly talks about another Superman film: Man of Steel 2. You can hear Schnepp’s words for yourself at the bottom of this post.
“George Miller, he’s doing Man of Steel 2“, he announces confidently. And why not? Miller has proved he’s full of spectacle and invention, so he could certainly bring a lot to the man of steel.
For now, WB only has two movies slotted for 2019, “Shazam” and “Justice League Part 2′, but if they’re aiming for three in 2018, they may squeeze in one more, especially if “Shazam” is a stand-alone movie, not connected to ‘Justice League”. Is Miller what the DC Cinematic Universe needs right now?

Comic Book Resources has a source that “casts doubt on the rumor”. Leave us your thoughts and opinions in the comments! He would definitely be a better choice to make a great Superman movie than Man of Steel’s director Zack Snyder (currently a little busy as the unofficial overlord over all DC-related film properties at Warner Bros.), in my humble opinion.
