“I am not the Prime Minister of the country that I’d be stopped from running election campaign”. As head of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf it is my responsibility to convey my party’s manifesto to public, he added. Ghaffar a PTI candidate for LG polls, was shot dead in Lahore a couple of days ago.
It is to be kept in mind that Imran Khan is in Lahore where he has officially started the campaign of its candidate, Aleem Khan, in NA-122 for re-elections. Imran also shared grief with the bereaved family of the deceased and vowed to fight for justice. He said the election commission which was involved in historic rigging is still present in Punjab, adding that the election commission of Punjab will try to help PML-N in achieving success in by-polls.
He said: “The rulers have failed to empower the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) that led increased role of army in operation cleanup”.
Swearing to expose PMLN’s corruption during the campaign, the cricketer-turned-political leader denied his party was going to become a part of a grand alliance. Imran said he believes in democracy and institutions.
