Will the Apple Watch problems be fixed in the second-generation smartwatch?

If rumors prove to be true, it is going to be a disappointing wearable device for many Apple fans who are already expecting the Apple Watch 2 to have its own cellular capability.

This year, Apple has remained in contact with mobile companies in the U.S. and Europe to include cellular networks in the coming Apple Watch.

Apple could still be launching an Apple Watch with LTE connectivity in the future but a release date is not yet certain, Apple Insider reported.

An Apple Inc. event in San Francisco, California highlights the company’s first-generation Apple Watch.

The Apple Watch 2 will not have cellular network connectivity, but it will have a Global Positioning System chip which would be used to maintain and keep track of health records and will also be helpful in accurate exploration. Apple might have tried to make the watch independent from the iPhone, but all the other features could have been greatly affected by it. LTE connections drain too much of the smartwatch’s battery and would therefore be impractical to still implement the feature.

The Cupertino-based tech giant’s Apple Watch released past year was not really revolutionary considering that it needed an iPhone to be able to use the apps.

Nevertheless, the publication added that Apple executives did not totally rule out the possibility of the cellular feature to land on its tech watch. Now, new reports have emerged suggesting that the next smart watch from the Cupertino-based company will not be carrying an LTE technology. It would allow runners and cyclists to track their movements. This means that Apple fans will still need their iPhones close by, even if the smartphones are synced with the Apple Watch 2.

The augmented reality game “Pokemon GO” from Niantic already has a notifier device but it does not seem to be taking off as expected.
