The cheapest iPhone 7 model costs $1,079 in Australia while the most expensive and higher capacity iPhone 7 Plus model is priced at $1,569, according to Apple.

One of the biggest criticisms of Apple’s newly unveiled iPhone 7 is the company’s ditching the 3.5 mm headphone jack in favor of connecting headphones through the Lightning port. Apple parody site Nicer has taken the internet’s many jokes and run with them.
What Apple has done however is provide a lot of stuff that is sure to please the faithful.
“When you have a vision for how the audio experience can be. you want to make it as great as can be”, Apple’s senior vice president of marketing, Phil Schiller, said at the event. But better late than never still translate into “better”. Apple also claims that iPhone 7 models have the longest battery life than its predecessors. The graphics have also been bolstered. The two lenses will also sense depth and allow users to blur backgrounds in images, mimicking an effect that typically requires changing the lens aperture in stand-alone cameras.
Touted by the site as “our lightest product ever”, Nicer does a ideal job of poking fun at Apple’s product marketing – from the site’s minimalist design right down to the short, declarative sentences that punctuate much of the iPhone maker’s advertising. Remember for example how we all went nuts when Apple removed optical drives from Mac computers? We’d be remiss to think this didn’t at least factor into the equation.
The headphone jack is now the Lightning connector. An adapter will also be included at no charge that will let you plug in your older headphones. Imagine if we all still had to use a cable to connect to the internet?
The new Apple-designed wireless AirPods, along with a charging case, will be available for $159 starting in late October. Here’s an early, hands-on look at what it’s like to use them. However, Apple offers EarPods with a lightning connector along with a free adaptor in the box. “But to me, the people who would be [upgrading are] the 5 and 5s people”.
Riccio concurred. He described the jack as nothing more than “a hole filled with air” before explaining that its removal lead to some of the really cool features we’re talking about today – like a better camera and water resistance. The iOS 10 will give older generations the same software as the new phone.
Both phones are available to order now but it won’t be hitting stores until September 16.
The lighting port will be located at the bottom of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus.
When Apple introduced its AirPods on Wednesday, the company went on and on about the new Apple-made chip on the inside, but said little about the technology that delivers the sound to the wireless earbuds from the iPhone.

The iPhone 7 features a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with wide colour gamut and a new home button which is now force-sensitive and comes with Taptic Engine.
