Will Trump be at next Fox debate? ‘We’ll see’

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump heaped scorn Tuesday on the media reaction to his surprise defeat in Iowa at the hands of Texas U.S. Sen.

Word of the debate comes a day after Democrats confirmed that Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are set to debate March 6 in Flint, where national attention has been focused on lead contamination in residents’ water. Meanwhile Ted Cruz, who came in first in Iowa, has 5 meet-and -greet events in New Hampshire today, Marco Rubio has 4, and the rest of the candidates will be crisscrossing the state as well. I know enough Iowans to understand how “special” they view their caucus process, and you diss them by ignoring the only GOP debate held in their state at your peril.

Trump has already shown that a broad group of conservatives will side with him over Fox News.

As for why he did not pull off the victory in the end, Trump admitted that could have been because of his decision to skip the debate.

No matter what he says, Trump did not ditch the debate because of any real or imagined trouble from Kelly or the Fox executives.

Some of this is due to Trump’s star power, of course.

Early in the day Cruz’s wife Heidi made a shocking revelation about her husband, telling a crowd in Windham, New Hampshire; ‘He’ll call me and just sing me a Broadway tune’.

Simultaneously, Trump’s poll figures and caucus results showed a significant downtick, while Cruz and Rubio showed significant upticks.

Laudner had said in January he felt “fantastic about the ground game”. Yet in the latest poll from UMass/7-News, Trump has a 24 point lead in the New Hampshire GOP race.

Trump also said he was not concerned about how his runner-up finish in Iowa could affect the brand he has promoted throughout his career and campaign: that of a victor.

He shunned the last primary debate before the Iowa caucuses but relished the drama triggered by his snub of the top USA news network and taunted his rivals at the competing fundraising event schemed to chide them. But what the public did not hear was the behind-the-scenes “wheelin and dealin” that took place between Mr. Trump and Fox right up to the start of the debate.

Tonight, Donald Trump is something he has long accused many others of being: a loser.

“The real game starts Monday,” Trump says
