“With many Londoners away on holiday and no school runs, the roads were not as congested this morning as they were during the last strike four weeks ago”, said a TomTom spokesman.
Other parts of the TfL proposal include staff being offered a £500 bonus when the night tube starts along with a 2% pay increase.
A lot of the main commuter routes in central London are accessible without using the tube, and TFL has said it will be providing extra Santander Cycle hubs at the busiest locations and there will also be additional river services.
“But the London searches we saw through the app during this week’s tube strike show that significantly more people were searching for a late stay in the city”.
Tube workers Unions are striking over pay and conditions offered on the new night service, which the BHA has previously previously welcomed as being “excellent for London hospitality businesses”.
Union members walked off the job amid a dispute about how to implement a new 24-hour service on weekends.

He said: “It is it is total nonsense to say I haven’t met the union leadership. I hope it comes very soon – but it can’t come at any cost”.
Mick Whelan, general secretary of drivers union Aslef, said: “We are not against the Night Tube if it’s run in a reasonable and adequate manner”. Unions called for direct meetings with Johnson after his comments. “Those voices must be heard and understood now and talks convened so that the fundamental issues at the heart of this dispute can be resolved. That can only happen through a direct meeting”.
Steve Griffiths, London Underground’s chief operating officer expressed concern over the rejection of what he called “extremely fair offer”.

But, as this morning, the figures were down on the Tube strike in July when there were 1,495 jams and 833 miles of delays at the evening peak. I’m sorry that people had difficult journeys yesterday and we are working hard to resolve the dispute. “They literally get 50k a year for sitting on their arse all day”, tweets one woman.
