“Pottermania” will reach fever pitch as the Cursed Child opening in London is immediately followed by the midnight release of the play’s script book, allowing fans across the globe to find out what happens next to the boy wizard and his friends.

Rowling agreed to publish the script to meet public demand after appeals from fans who couldn’t get to London to see the play, publishers said earlier this year.

The eighth story in the Harry Potter series, and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage, is one play presented in two parts.

“This is Harry all grown up now, he’s working for the Ministry of Magic and he’s the father of three children”.

Many critics argue the social effects of the “Harry Potter” books are overblown and that readers, in fact, do not graduate to explore other works.

Eleven-year-old Wilmington boy Noah Nunez can’t wait to read “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts 1 and 2”.

“We haven’t had any copies of the books on the shelf all summer, and we own a lot of copies”, Burns said. The play opens on Platform 93/4 at King’s Cross station as Harry bids farewell to his youngest son, Albus who, like his father, is heading for his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at the age of 11.

Billstone said security is tight and books will not be shipped until shortly before the event, or sold before midnight. Thousands of bookstores around the world are holding Potter parties Saturday night, and report advance sales not seen since the 2007 publication of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”, the final novel in the series. A store manager said Hastings has ordered copies of the book, but they are not sure the order will be delivered.
