Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere has revealed his reasons for choosing AFC Bournemouth over Premier League rivals Crystal Palace and Italian sides Roma and AC Milan.

With injuries blighting his career – Wilshere missed pretty much the whole of last season – the key for the midfielder will be to get playing time, and after talking to manager Eddie Howe and former Arsenal teammate Benik Afobe, who is also the godfather to Wilshere’s child, the Arsenal Academy product chose to sign for Bournemouth. His propensity to incur injuries, however, has always been a hindrance to his development.
The 24-year-old was pictured attending his first training session for Bournemouth after putting pen-to-paper on the move last night.
Arsenal’s trouble may be in picking through the suitors to find Wilshere the best deal, such is the interest in the England midfielder.
Sources have told ESPN FC that Roma has been seriously considered by Wilshere and his advisers.
Jack Wilshere is confident the loan can help him rediscover his best form.
Verheijen took to Twitter to write: “Sad to see Wilshere move from Arsenal to Bournemouth”.
“I had a good chat with the manager and feel sure that this is the best place for me to play and develop this season”. He can definitely compliment the style of football and the way that we play and maybe add that missing piece of the jigsaw that we need.
It’s believed that the South Coast club paid Arsenal £2m for the loan of Wilshere, while also meeting his £80,000-a-week wage packet.

“It is a question of game time and the contribution he is making to Arsenal and he is not doing that at the moment, so I left him out”. You’ll recall that when he first came up he was really deemed the next big thing in English football.
