Police told local media Wednesday night that 56-year-old Gregory K. Parks has been charged in the case.

Parks is being held in the Wilson County jail. The Wilson Police Department has worked around the clock to locate Isabel Calvo Palacios. Anyone with information about her whereabouts should call Wilson Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255. They are continuing their search for the missing woman.
Parks has also been previously arrested on manslaughter and attempted first and second-degree rape.
In 2014, a jury convicted him on two counts of participating in prostitution of a minor but the appeals court later overturned that ruling, saying there was not enough evidence to convict him.
Palacios has been missing since earlier this month and was last seen at Parks’ house.

According to Captain Eric Smith, police are investigating other cases that might be tied to alleged criminal activity at Park’s home. This investigation is far from over and we intend to use all appropriate means in continuing this investigation.
