Thursday: The bulk of the rain should be finished, but a few showers may linger in New England and Upstate New York. The rain likely eases a few later Friday night as the front pushes northward into Washington.
The main threat of strong winds will be Wednesday and Thursday from two different sources.
The next chance for rain will be on Sunday, but it is only a slight chance, forecasters said.

A storm that includes a few remnants of Hurricane Patricia is expected to bring heavy rain and wind to the East Coast.
South winds between 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour are expected to blow between 7 p.m. on Wednesday and 10 a.m. on Thursday.
