Wind Chill Advisory In St. Cloud For Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend

Temperatures may be mild going into the weekend, but a brutal blast of cold air will welcome you back to work on Monday. Winds will be calmer at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Minor to no accumulation is expected.

Looking ahead towards the weekend there is a more impressive storm on the horizon for Friday night into Saturday.

New Jersey will stay in the warm air mass on Saturday, as high temperatures once again climb to around the 50 degree mark. The weather service said the wind chill could reach minus 35, with the coldest coming around 9 a.m.

The cold weather returns to eastern Iowa starting today.

Nuisance snow showers will be around today with no more than a coating expected. Temperatures will be in the upper 20s in the morning but will fall throughout the day into the lower teens by the evening commute.

Light snow added up to 0.3 inches at the airport on Wednesday, bringing the January total up to 2.1 inches, 3.2 inches below normal.
