On the other hand Pakistan Men team managed to win only one game against Bangladesh, losing three matches against India, Australia and New Zealand.

They gave South Africa a fright last weekend when they raced to 105 for two in pursuit of the Proteas’ total of 210, although they were ultimately beaten after a flurry of wickets.

Asked if there was too much pressure on the shoulders of senior players like her, she replied, “I personally feel one player cannot get you a World Cup, may be one or two games we can win”.

The Darren Sammy-led side has enthralled the Indian fans with their free-spirited performances and they have enhanced their reputation as T20 big guns with victories over their biggest rivals in Group 1 – England, Sri Lanka and South Africa.

It is Afghanistan’s last game of the tournament and all eyes will be on them.

West Indies, already through to the semifinals, rested swashbuckling batsman Chris Gayle for this inconsequential match.

“When we play more global matches then the improvement will come”, he said after the England match.

Sammy called on his team to keep the winning momentum going ahead of the knockout stages.
