Windows 10 Anniversary update on the way this summer
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella delivers the keynote address at the Microsoft Build Conference, Wednesday, March 30, 2016, in San Francisco. “We think this can have as big an impact as the graphic user interface on desktop or touch on mobile”.

There is a catch however: you will need to switch on Developer Mode in Windows 10, though if you are a developer chances are good you have this mode switched on already.
The Anniversary Update will also bring Cortana to Xbox One, and will set the foundation for some of the most-requested fan features, like Background Music on Xbox One.
The 270 million represents new computers and devices with Windows 10 installed as well as upgrades of existing gadgets. The feature allows users to create sticky notes, draw on a whiteboard, and easily share it. “Windows 10 is off to an unbelievable start”.
The clever voice assistant can now intelligently understand time, so will understand when you ask for “the PowerPoint presentation I was working on last night”.
The omnipresent assistant now lives in the redesigned Skype messaging app. Microsoft also shared all new tools for bringing apps to Windows 10 from any platform. Microsoft seems less interested in using its ecosystem to prop up Windows Mobile and more interested in helping Windows users live a multi-OS life on whatever mobile platform they prefer.
There are those that would say Microsoft should have a revamped file explorer with tabs and a decent mail and calendar client, rather than one that is shipped with Windows 10. The switch to UWP and upcoming merger with the Windows Store will likely put an end to this system, bringing the Xbox One more in-line with the full-blown app stores on other platforms such as Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and the new Apple TV.
Earlier this month, Microsoft’s Jason Ronald said that the company was planning to allow apps designed for Windows 10 to run on its Xbox One console this summer.

The Anniversary release will go to existing Windows 10 users for free, whether they are using PCs, tablets, IoT devices, HoloLens and Xbox.
