Those who reserved their upgrade, but still haven’t received it, should watch out for a notification in their system tray. “It is bewildering to see, after nearly 15 years of progress … that with Windows 10, user choice has now been all but removed”. When it came to the topic of Windows 10 Mobile, Doherty said that the company has a “November timeframe” set for the release.
“When this is turned on, your PC may also send parts of previously downloaded Windows updated and apps to PCs on your local network, or PCs on the Internet”, Microsoft explains.
Check out the list of 10 Lumia smartphones that Microsoft confirmed for Windows 10 upgrade. With the launch of Windows 10 this week, Microsoft has replaced the much reviled browser with the all new Microsoft Edge and it is getting rave reviews all around.
Windows 10 upgrades are slowly but surely making their way to devices. “It is more personal and more productive. And it’s familiar and always up to date”.
The company said its new operating system aimed at computers, mobile devices and other gadgets got off to a strong start toward its goal of reaching one billion devices.
The hype is much stronger and wilder than ever, as the much-awaited new version became publicly available July 29. So the new OS should make its way to many more models at some point.
