Although it is hard to categorise all the features that come with the new update including the thousand of bug fixes, we have tried to focus on a few that can really the swivel the market in favour of Windows. Today, Windows users have a grace period of only 10 days to rollback the Anniversary Update. However, next year is expecting us with two more features.

Nothing is confirmed yet, however, Windows 10 Mobile will get the Redstone 2 preview builds. So far, the only option for users is to wait before, they need to get the Anniversary Update first and only then can take start receiving Redstone 2 preview builds.

The Redstone 2 update is expected to be made available to all the Windows users early next year.

If that comment sounds a little confusing, Microsoft considers the first Windows 10 release, aka Threshold 1, as a feature upgrade. If you recall – OneCore is the shared core of Windows across PC, tablet, phone, IoT, Hololens and Xbox.

“We’re doing some code refactoring and other engineering work to make sure OneCore is optimally structured for teams to start checking in new features and improvements in a few months”, stated Microsoft in a statement. However, not many people are aware of this distinction. The operating system includes a handy “Continuum” feature that dynamically switches the interface between the PC-friendly desktop and a Windows 8-like mode that’s better suited for fingers, depending on how you’re using the device.

Windows Updates are automatically received using Windows Update on most Windows computers. Insider have been patiently waiting to get their hands on an Insider preview build as they’ve been running the final version of the Anniversary Update for nearly a month now.
