Windows 10 Mobile Remains a Ghost for Eligible AT&T Handsets
Remote display experience puts a display on every “display less” device, so users can seamlessly control Windows 10 IoT Core applications from any Windows 10 desktop PC, tablet, or phone*.

As ZDNet reported, a preview version of the Desktop App Converter, which Microsoft announced at its Build developer conference last week, lets Windows beta testers do precisely that. But overall, it’s responsive and useful in early tests. In fact, more people are now using Windows XP than the total number of people using 10.11 El Capitan (4.05%) and Windows 8.1 (9.56%).
The Windows 10 roadmap page that we’ve already told you about during the week also includes more information about some new and undisclosed features that are scheduled to be part of the Anniversary Update due in the summer.
With Microsoft Edge, you can choose to get notifications from your favorite websites, even when you are not browsing.
According to Stat Counter, Windows XP represents 7.4% of all desktops in April 2016, down from 10.9% in April 2015.
Among the other enhancements that Microsoft said are on the way are the ability to cast between two PCs and improvements to Continuum, which connects Windows Phones to monitors, mice and keyboards, enabling the phones to work like PCs.
A preview version is now available to download.
Microsoft now offers bridge tools to allow developers to create Windows 10 universal apps that reuse their existing Objective-C code developed for iOS apps.
Interestingly, Microsoft is also building in what it calls laptop-like accessory support, which the company describes as “support for a new accessory form factor that looks like a lightweight and low-priced laptop, but without any CPU or OS”, which can be paired to a Continuum-running smartphone (i.e.it sounds like this is some kind of laptop shell accessory, with the phone acting as the guts of the thing in terms of the hardware/software). This issue varies from one Microsoft account to another (you can try restarting your PC, but there is no guarantee if it will work or not).
Microsoft still has more tricks up its sleeve when integrating command-line developer tools with the open-source ecosystem.
