Windows 10 now costs $199
If you’ve been eager to try out Cortana, Microsoft’s digital voice assistant, on your Xbox One, the wait is finally over.

The Xbox App and Windows 10 will now work together even more.
Users with a headset or Kinect can also now make use of Cortana, Microsoft’s Siri-like personal assistant software.
Xbox One users in US and United Kingdom now have Cortana integrated with their console. Cortona can be used now to search for games to play, inviting friends, launch Xbox applications and for many other simple commands.
Cortana will be added to XBOX One, Music apps like Pandora will make background music possible, Microsoft will start combining the best of Window’s Store and XBOX Store to create a single coherent experience across devices. The Anniversary update will feature additional security features and a built-in protection. Quick controls can increase/decrease the volume or pause the song, according to The Verge.
Microsoft had given users an year to upgrade to their latest OS – Windows 10 for free, but the free upgrade offer ended on 29th July.
Based on “overwhelming” user feedback, Microsoft has also turned on language region independence. You can now select any language regardless of your location, so if you move country you can keep your language and set your new location.
“A small number of 2TB Xbox One S consoles were prematurely delivered to fans in Norway via a retailer prior to the launch date”, a statement from an Xbox representative reads. On the other hand, Microsoft has, at least on the consumer side, made it abundantly clear they want you running Windows.

Fortunately, there is still a way to get the free Windows 10 upgrade, as Microsoft is still offering the update at no cost for users of assistive technologies. Now, you can connect your Facebook account to your Xbox Live account and see which of your friends are online. Windows 10 users will start getting the update from August 2.
