You see, the extended deadline is aimed squarely at those who need Microsoft’s assistive technology, such as screen dictation.

With their Windows 10 Anniversary Update Microsoft is adding a number of applications and features.

– Go this Microsoft accessibility site and click on “Upgrade Now” button. This feature will also require the Windows 10 Anniversary update which is due on August 2.

With the Anniversary Update, Microsoft is bringing together the best of Windows and Xbox.

Features of the new Xbox Summer Update include Background Music, Cortana on Xbox One, Improved Game Collection, Language Region Independence, Xbox and Windows Store convergence, Facebook Friend Finder, Improved sharing on Xbox One and more.

The update won’t be available to everyone immediately, but will gradually be offered to all Windows 10 users over the coming weeks.

Whether or not this special free upgrade will be running for another year or just a few months is still a puzzle that can only be solved by Microsoft. This badge is similar to the badge that iOS and Windows 10 Mobile users get on their smartphones.

For the general public, the free upgrade offer for Windows 10 ends on July 29. The company has also released new ways for Windows 10 games and Xbox One communities to work together. More apps will get the feature later on. Although it would be available across all platforms, everybody would not be getting their update on a same single day.
