Windows 10’s best feature, Cortana, finally comes to India

Tech Desk – Microsoft’s newly launched operating system Windows10 captured more than five percent of desktop market within one month, web tracker NetMarketShare reported on Tuesday. And the company’s second update shows that things are going well. Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president of Microsoft’s Windows and Devices Group, actually tweeted the latest update. In other words, you’ll have to manually update your computer if you want to avoid this from downloading onto your device.

Windows 10 has been a darling to everyone – us reviewers, tech geeks, consumers – everyone. The feature is now only available in the USA and Chinese editions of Windows 10, but Microsoft says Cortana’s advanced multilingual skills will be added to more versions in the future. Microsoft, meantime, is under fire from privacy groups, over what its new Windows 10 operating system is allowed to save, and share with the company.

Microsoft Translator is the translation software that Microsoft crams into a number of apps for smartwatches, tablets, smartphones, and PCs.

Well it has not only been the most successful bit also the biggest loser as it slumped down to 57.67 percent following the free upgrade to Windows 10 in August. That would rival Android’s reach and double iOS’s, giving developers a solid base to build an audience on.

Since the July 29 launch, Microsoft has released four cumulative updates for Windows 10 with a variety of fixes, security updates and features.

Moving from an older PC to a newer one can be a hassle, but Microsoft has taken steps to make the file transferring process easier for those moving to Windows 10. Time will tell what will happen.
