Yes you heard it right, Microsoft’s Cortana assistant is now available for everyone who has iPhone and Android phones after having undergone a brief beta testing period in the past. Unlike the complete version of the software on Windows 10, Cortana may lag in features on other platforms i.e. when users open or toggle apps. Now, Microsoft’s personal assistant is available on select iOS, Android, and Cyanogen devices and will work as a companion app with Windows 10 PCs.
Windows users have loved Cortana and it has been a hit on Windows platforms.
In an effort of taking the Android integration even further, Microsoft has partnered with Cyanogen, a company that offers which offers phone makers a custom version of Android, in case they don’t want to create their own.
Cortana also works better if more access to personal data is given in Windows 10. Through a PC running this OS, Android and iOS users can connect their smartphones to their computers to enjoy the features of Cortana.
