As the name suggests, it will be released this autumn. It will finally make its debut in the Fall Creators Update, letting you pin icons for your favorite contacts for easy sharing and communicating via multiple channels and apps.

Quite why Microsoft has made a decision to call it the same name is a mystery and rather odd, but perhaps it’s because the original Creators Update wasn’t as creative (or well received by creators) as was hoped.
This one was first announced for the original Creators Update that launched last summer, but didn’t make it into the final version.
Microsoft is bringing OneDrive Placeholders with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. Windows update aimed at keeping its desktop and laptop computer users stay in touch with the latest updates. It is the new design language from the Microsoft. That shift to smartphones and tablets also is one of the reasons the next Windows 10 update will include a multi-faceted clipboard to let you copy text, images and other content on a PC and paste it on a phone, even iPhones and Android, as though the PC and phone were one. The idea is to deliver new experiences – from editing docs to watching video – you have on your Windows PC to seamlessly follow you to your Android or iOS device.
It seems a little bit like a live version of Apple’s Time Machine back up system. And, yes, despite the irrelevance of Windows Phone, Microsoft does have a new mobile strategy – it’s just not what you’d expect. Similar to Apple’s Handoff, the feature uses Cortana to enable the switchover.
Microsoft surprised everyone with a new Windows 10 Story Remix feature earlier today. All the files, including online files, can be seen in File Explorer and accessed on-demand whenever users need them.
VR compatibility: The update will bring compatibility with Microsoft’s new Windows Mixed Reality headset and motion controllers. The idea is to maintain a consistent design experience in the same way Google has been able to achieve with its Material Design.

When can I try the new features? The company has not divulged much else regarding this feature so far. Windows Insiders will soon get these features in upcoming preview builds.
