WINK News investigates Ben Carson’s West Point scholarship claims
We won’t know until the FEC filing deadline if the numbers pan out, of if they’re just pledges, but Carson’s “media woes” seem to have become his biggest asset, both helping him rake in the cash and blotting out a few of his freakish opinions on history from the past week. “What I have always said about the media is being proven for everyone to see”, Carson said in a Facebook post.
A claim of receiving a full scholarship to elite military academy West Point was questioned as West Point doesn’t offer scholarships to students, all of whom attend free of cost.

Carson and his campaign forcefully reject any suggestion he has been less than completely truthful. He says he did, but that isn’t exactly how acceptance to West Point works.
“I don’t agree with that statement”, Earnest told reporters Monday at the White House. Because Carson has too much on his plate to worry about benign matters like words he wrote and said about his own life. And The Wall Street Journal reported that a Yale class Carson said he took, Perceptions 301, doesn’t exist.
Asked if Carson has any questions about whether Obama was born here, Carson said, “I do have questions about where he applied from…”

Trump’s comment came in reference to Carson’s story that he once attempted to stab someone in his youth, only to have his knife broken when he hit a large belt buckle. “She’s watching right now, and she’s saying to herself, “Man, I better win”.
