A single winning ticket in Saturday’s $487 million Powerball drawing was sold in New Hampshire, lottery officials announced. “So it’s been quite some time, but certainly the lotto gods smiled on the state of New Hampshire”.

It was the eighth-largest lottery prize in the United States – including the rival Mega Millions game. The nation’s biggest prize was January’s $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot.
No one has matched all the numbers since the May 7 drawing. The odds of a $2 ticket hitting the jackpot are more than 292 million to 1.
Powerball is played in 44 states (plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands).
This Hannaford store will get $75,000 for selling the winning ticket.

It’s expected that it will be known early Sunday morning if a winning ticket was bought. The ticket was purchased as a cash ticket and is valued at $284 million.
