The National Weather Service in Missoula issued a winter storm warning Friday afternoon, effective 11 a.m. Saturday and lasting through 5 p.m. Sunday.

Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches are expected, according to the National Weather Service.
By 6 p.m. on Saturday evening it is snowing in northwest and southwest CT and by 7 p.m.it will be snowing all across the state.
Southern Ocean County, parkway west to a line from Egg Harbor City to Maurice River to Downe Township: Rain/snow or snow will go to all rain by midnight. Travel will be hard over the passes- and with the winds, expect possible intermittent closures. The system will exit the region late Saturday night, and the sun is expected to return on Sunday! The low will be about 16 degrees with a 70 percent chance for snow and northwesterly winds up to about 17 miles per hour.
Forecasters are predicting different snowfall totals for the borough, ranging from two to seven inches. Up to a half-inch of snow is likely in the evening. It’s not often that you see highs in the upper-70s/low-80s in the middle of February, but that’s exactly what the region experienced Thursday – and it was an enjoyable respite from the cold the area has been experiencing.
THIS EVENING: We get a break from the steady rain with cloudy skies and chance of showers. Temperatures were quite mild with many seeing lows staying above 50 degrees.
Madison could see some snow on Saturday as well. If the path of the low meanders further inland the low will keep the cold temperatures- but wont pull all that much moisture off the ocean. That melt will be accelerated early next week as more rain and another surge of warmth arrives from Monday through Wednesday.
Monday: An 80 percent chance of rain, possibly mixed with freezing rain, then becoming all rain after 7 a.m., high near 44.

It is likely that many spots get no accumulation at all, but some locations (more likely away from water and on higher hills) could get a trace to two inches of snow.
