Stoke’s long-running pursuit of Andriy Yarmolenko appears to be over after the forward reportedly signed a new deal with Dynamo Kiev.

More recently, the Daily Mail reported that Jose Mourinho was at Spain’s game against Ukraine during the global break to cast his eye over Yarmolenko.

But he admits he does not know if the Blues are still interested in Yarmolenko.

“Frankly, I really want for my club received adequate training compensation”. I could have left for free in a while, but that would have been wrong.

“I am 100 per cent a Dynamo player”. Our team is like my second family.

“I still want to try my hand at a few of the top championships as part of one of the strongest European clubs”, he said.

The 25-year-old has started the season in good form and has already bagged eight goals in 14 appearances in all competitions for Dynamo Kyiv.

It’s true that defence has been the club’s greatest concern so far, but it seems as though every place in the squad could be up for grabs as even playmaking stars Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas have been subpar.

Agent Vadim Shabliy says he still has his heart set on the Premier League, despite penning a new five-year deal with Kiev, report the Liverpool Echo.

Ukraine winger Yarmolenko, 25, was duly linked with a potential move to Stamford Bridge, and Everton have shown a few interest previously.
