On Sunday night, a Twitter user posted evidence linking the user Stonetear to Combetta, who was granted immunity earlier this month in the investigation of Clinton’s personal email fiasco.

As is turns out, that Reddit user was probably Paul Combetta, Clinton’s computer specialist, who recently was granted immunity by the Justice Department in its investigation into the Clinton private email server controversy.

The blogger’s explanation continues, with the reference to the dates, the July 23 House Select Committee on Benghazi agreement on the production of Clinton’s records and emails, and the subsequent request for advice on stripping emails on the 24th.
But US News & World Report said that reddit users linked them to Paul Combetta, the techie working for Platte River Networks, which hosted Clinton’s home email server.
“The Reddit post issue and its connection to Paul Combetta is now being reviewed by OGR staff and evaluations are being made as to the authenticity of the post“, Meadows, who lead the Oversight Committee’s Government Operations subcommittee, told The Hill. “The date of the Reddit post in relationship to the establishment of the Select Committee on Benghazi is also troubling”.
While evidence connecting Combetta to “Stonetear’s” account is circumstantial, it is at this point overwhelming.
A photo of Combetta posted to the social networking platform by a man listed as a relative in Nexis on August of 2014 was tagged with the name “Paul Stonetear” during a DailyMail.com search on September 9.
It asked, ‘Does anyone have experience with something like this, and/or suggestions on how this might be accomplished?’ An email to Stonetear’s alleged Gmail address was not returned.
The picture, posted to user Carl Kloster’s page, is however, of Combetta, who appeared four days later before the House’s Oversight committee in compliance with a subpoena.
The FBI’s report summarising its investigation into Clinton’s email server showed long-time Clinton aide and former chief of staff Cheryl Mills had instructed Platte River Networks to delete a set of archived emails in December 2014.
The New York Times has identified the redacted individual as more than likely being Combetta. One of them is, however, a woman whose maiden name appears to have been Combetta until a 2015 wedding.
Those who believe the Stonetear thread is a smoking gun say that he was never able to find a way to strip out the VIP’s email address, so the next step was to destroy the email archive completely – something Combetta did to Hillary Clinton’s email archives with a program called BleachBit.

Combetta invoked the Fifth Amendment to evade questions from the House Oversight Committee last week, even though he had already been granted immunity from prosecution by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
