Wisconsin shocks No. 5 LSU

Coach Paul Chryst might have a better team than the one that finished 10-3 in 2015, but a worse record.

Wisconsin and LSU played at Lambeau Field, but the NCAA wouldn’t let players do the famed Lambeau Leap. With 487 attempts in 25 games, the junior is poised to become the fastest player in LSU history to reach that plateau, a mark now held by Kevin Faulk (3,000 on 572 attempts in 28 games).

No. 13 TCU 59, South Dakota St. 41: In Fort Worth, Texas, Kenny Hill accounted for five touchdowns after a shaky start in his TCU debut, KaVontae Turpin returned a punt 81 yards for a score and the Horned Frogs pulled away late in a victory over the Jackrabbits.

“Him leaving (had) a lot of people saying, ‘Will we fall off on defense, ‘ and this and that”, senior cornerback Sojourn Shelton said, noting there is no love lost between anyone on the team and Aranda. “I thought he played hard”. “This is. a performance I’m extremely proud of”.

LSU knew what Wisconsin was going to do to them, and it didn’t matter. After a bye, Ohio State visits Camp Randall for a prime-time showdown on October 15. They did a great job shutting down the LSU offense and running back Leonard Fournette, but Badger fullback Troy Fumagalli did a terrific job showing off his sheer power. Maryland plays Howard for the first time, even though only 7.5 miles separate the schools.

Senior Wisconsin linebacker Vince Biegel is known for his wild hairstyles as much as his pass-rushing prowess.

During Wednesday’s SEC media teleconference, Les Miles reported that he will not tolerate any of his players participating in the time-honored tradition at Lambeau Field.

LSU: Miles said he had to review the film of Boutte’s hit, and that it was out of character for his lineman. Bart Houston will take over as the starting quarterback after Joel Stave’s departure to the NFL.

A day after a sea of Badger red took over Lambeau Field, businesses were still busy cleaning up. Faced with a brutal schedule that includes cross-division games against Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State, the Badgers looked like the Wisconsin of old along the offensive line, and the defense showed no signs of a drop-off under Justin Wilcox.

It was one of the most egregious cheap shots that you’ll ever see, and no one will be surprised if it leads to a suspension. “Blockers coming, he slipped the block and he was able to get Fournette on the ground and Fournette, to be honest with you, I’m telling y’all that that’s a man”.

Wisconsin had taken a 3-0 lead on a 30-yard field goal by Gaglianone with 4:13 left in the second quarter.

The Badgers went into the game unranked, while LSU was ranked 5th in the country.

With about a minute left, Wilcox radioed in and called one of Biegel’s favorite blitzes, “Psycho Track”. Fournette limped off with an injury, though, and after a false start penalty – without Fournette available – Harris dropped back, avoided pressure and tossed an ill-advised pass to his left, which was intercepted by D’Cota Dixon, sealing the upset win for the Badgers. “We’re improving, and that’s what happens at the end of camp”. So, say if the receiver’s split is wide or he’s close, I’m going to eliminate certain routes that he can run from there. “But the biggest thing is we’ve got to continue to keep putting this all together and we could really be special”.
