With Beckham suspended, Giants sign receiver Ben Edwards
He would be reinstated Monday.

Beckham certainly deserved the suspension for running backwards over 20 yards to deliver an egregiously uncalled-for helmet-to-helmet hit on the Panthers’ Josh Norman, as guilty as Carolina may have been in provoking him.
Beckham also had a run-in with a Panthers’ player in the pregame warmups. The helmet hit was the culmination of a game filled with general jackassery from both Beckham and Norman.
“I appealed my suspension because it is a right granted to all palyers under the NFL’s CBA and because I owe it to my teammates to do everything I can to be on the field this week”, Beckham said in a statement. According to the Daily News, Wing said that the reports about slurs did not have “any input into Sunday’s actions”.
“I am not here to make excuses for my conduct”, he continued.
“I wanted him to play the game”. His absence could be a huge factor for a team barely in playoff contention. The Giants need Washington lose its final two games and they need to win their final two.
“This is what I want to do in my life”, an eager Lovato said Wednesday.
The Giants then mounted a 28-point comeback, including a game-tying touchdown reception by Beckham, before losing on a last-second field goal by Graham Gano.
In any case, Beckham has appealed the suspension with a hearing today.
Christmas won’t be much of a holiday for Zimmer, who will put his team through a practice Friday in preparation for Sunday night’s game. Where do players draw the line between snaps that are OK and chirps that go too far? But we’ve got Hakeem Nicks, we’ve got Rueben Randle.
“We’ll be fine”, the always-calm Manning said. Give it a read, he’s a player who has earned this chance. Coach Dan Quinn said the player was undergoing the league’s concussion protocol and was unable to say when the 22-year-old might be cleared for return.
“I feel pretty good”, Peterson said. “Man that’s insane. Y’all don’t even know me, man. Y’all don’t even know my name”. “He has this thing going on with his neck, but we don’t know the extent of the seriousness”.
After the tangent, the Giants orchestrated a comeback from a 35-7 hole and tied the game up, only to fall to the Panthers on a late field-goal.
Several media outlets reported this week that there were allegations of homophobic slurs being directed at Beckham.
Beckham issued a written apology Wednesday in which he said: “This isn’t about anything that was said or done to me”.
Wing believes Beckham was shaken by the incident. Randle insists this will be like any other game. “No other team or member of any other team has crossed our side of the field and came and spoke to us”. He’s now in the concussion protocol program, coach Dan Quinn said.

While I am happy with the league’s decision to punish OBJ, I don’t feel like it was quite enough.
