With Bitstrips acquisition confirmed, Snapchat has dropped Bitmojis into your snaps
Snapchat announced today that it has added Bitmojis to its service, a move that essentially confirmed rumors that it had acquired the company that built the feature earlier this year.

Snapchat bought Bitstrips, the startup behind Bitmoji, back in March. From there, users can connect to their Bitmoji accounts within the Snapchat app settings to access their Bitmoji in Snapchat. The Bitmoji app was first launched in 2014, but Bitmoji had found traction before then with its first product, called Bitstrips, which used the same customized sticker concept.

Click on the Bitmoji section. This will allow you to send a more personal and customised sticker to someone. If you’ve created a Bitmoji character already, you can link your two accounts and start right away ― otherwise, you’ll need to download the Bitmoji app and create a new avatar. If a friend has also linked their Bitmoji, you’ll see special Friendmoji stickers when you Chat them or reply to their Snap.
