Kelly Ripa will return to “Live” on Tuesday.
“I wanted to thank you all for giving me the time to process this new information,” Ripa told the “Live” staff in an email”. “I love you and everyone else here at Live!, and I’m not going to cry on TV, momma, I promise you”. ABC reportedly kept Ripa and other staff members in the dark about Strahan’s departure to prevent leaks.
Ripa then took off to Turks and Caicos for a previously planned vacation with her family to celebrate her 20th wedding anniversary.
So at this point, it’s probably best to begin wagering on Strahan’s replacement. Michael Strahan, Co-host of Live! Not long after that, speculation about the status of Ripa and Strahan’s relationship started popping up: One source toldEntertainment Tonight that while the duo got along well in the beginning, lately things have been tense between the two.
Michael has reportedly reached out to Kelly several times since the announcement on Tuesday, but the pair have so far yet to reconcile.
While Ripa maintained media silence throughout her absence, Strahan took to “GMA” on Thursday to singe her praises.
The blonde beauty was furious that she had been left in the dark about her co-host being poached by their rivals “Good Morning America”. The email read that she would be returning to the show on Tuesday and she was thankful for all the support she received.
According to The New York Daily News, Strahan has repeatedly tried to call Ripa but the long-time “Live!” host refused to pick up the phone.
