With Donald Trump’s Birther Spin, He’s Crossed A Line

President Barack Obama was born in the United States.

“I offered to donate $1 million to the charity of your choice if you, Donald Trump, would let me dip my balls in your mouth”, Colbert reminded everyone.

“‘Obama wasn’t born here” is your number one hit”, he continued.

“That’s what’s called a firm grasp of the obvious”, he called Trump’s declaration that Obama was born in the U.S. At one point, Colbert and Meyers looked into the camera and, word for word, expressed the exact same sentiment: “F-k you, exclamation point”. In fact, Trump was questioning the legitimacy of Obama’s birth certificate as recently as 2015. Because all this went on, Colbert pointed out, while “I was alive and on TV”. It was a near-10 minute segment that had The Daily Beast noting that this sees Meyers “leapfrogging” Jimmy Fallon in the eyes of the public, given Fallon’s cozy, acritical chat with Donald Trump last week – proving to anyone who was unconvinced that his Tonight Show has very little interest beyond what can go viral.

And though supporters of Trump in the wake of the announcement have tried to spin that the candidate stopped talking about the birther issue in 2011, Meyers gives a bevy of clips proving that’s not the case, highlighting that Trump has been talking about it as recently as past year.

Obama actually released a birth certificate in 2008, before Trump demanded a second, long-form version-which the GOP nominee, upon seeing, dubbed “Israeli science” and threatened an investigation over.

“Who are these people that we never heard from again?”

“No you didn’t”, Colbert said of Trump’s victorious finishing. We’re not insane. We were there. We all saw you do it.

“You don’t get to peddle racist rhetoric for five years and decide when it’s over”, Meyers added. To recap, Fallon invited Trump on his show last week and failed to challenge him on literally anything, instead choosing to sniff the farts of a presidential candidate who is openly hostile toward women, blacks, Muslims, Mexicans, and other groups of people.

And like many of Trump’s contractors and business relationships, Obama is probably waiting for that $5 million check.
