With Eyes on Nevada, Clinton and Sanders Duel at Church

She is a party favourite, a fundraising star, and she now has a significant number of superdelegates who are supporting her campaign. I’m the only candidate who has a record of taking on those barriers. Hillary Clinton could be elected.

While the Democratic race has become more heated in recent weeks, Clinton and Sanders have cast their disagreements as matters of substance and degree while condemning Republicans for focusing more on personal attacks. Calling the president weak, calling him a disappointment, calling several times that he should have a primary opponent when he ran for re-election in 2012, you know, I think that goes further than saying we have our disagreements.

He pushed back on Clinton’s criticism of Sanders’ policy proposals in the debate on Thursday night as unrealistic, saying her message was “technocratic management” contrasted with “an inspirational, inclusive vision for the nation” from Sanders. “I do not expect from someone running for the Democratic nomination to succeed President Obama”, she said at the debate on Thursday. The crowd appeared to be mostly young people, many telling Fox 31 political reporter Joe St. George that this was the first election they are participating in.

“Madam secretary, that is a low blow”, Mr Sanders responded by arguing that he respects Mr Obama, but as a Senator he has the right to disagree with the President. Many Democrats are longing for a candidate who can inspire and engage voters, similar to President Barack Obama. “Well, how about obeying the Constitution and start holding hearings when President Obama nominates the next Supreme Court justice”, Sanders said Monday at a rally in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Nothing’s stuck with voters, however, and Clinton left New Hampshire forced to grapple with both her bruising 22-point loss in the state’s primary and one existential question: How do you stop the Bern?

“We should level with the American people to make sure they get affordable health care every progressive economist that has analyzed this said the numbers don’t add up”, Clinton said. Criticising the anti-immigrant positions of Republican front-runner Donald Trump, Mr Sanders said immigrants should not be scapegoats for economic uncertainty.

Throwing shade at Ms. Clinton’s super political action committee, Sanders also mentioned the “corrupt campaign finance system” funded by “extraordinarily wealthy people who make very large contributions to super PACs”, to which Clinton replied, “We are mixing apples and oranges”.

It was “one of the worst genocides in the history of the world”, Sanders said.

The idea that women choose their involvement in politics based on where they are most likely to find a husband is incredibly insulting, and I’m shocked the quote came from such a respected woman and feminist in the media industry.

“I am not here to talk about my involvement in the American civil rights movements”, Lewis said, noting that he is here to introduce “my beloved sister who I have known for so many years”.
