With Wisconsin Win, Cruz Almost Even With Trump in Republican Race
Donald Trump’s convention manager, Republican strategist Paul Manafort, described his new role in the campaign Friday, saying his it shows the billionaire’s signature leadership style.

NBC Bay Area political analyst Larry Gerston, “I wouldn’t get too excited about a seven point differential between Trump and Cruz”.
In order to vote in the Republican Primary, you must be a registered Republican.
Republican Party activists are gathering Saturday in Colorado Springs for the state GOP convention. Two candidates Trump’s campaign told backers to support in one district were not even on the ballot. The North Myrtle Beach resident will go as an alternate to the national convention.
But none of that matters if the famous real estate developer fails to win a majority of delegates nationwide before the national convention in July. “The negative feelings for both are a harbinger of a general election contest that’s shaping up to be less about voters supporting the candidate of their choice, and more about their picking the one they dislike the least”, notes the Associated Press. “If we do not unify, we will lose”. To claim the nomination by the end of the primaries on June 7, he’d have to win 57 percent of the remaining delegates.
Although prospective delegates don’t have to announce how they might vote on a second or third ballot, there’s nothing stopping those attending the caucuses from asking.
Collins, who represents the 27th Congressional District that includes most of Niagara County, is also co-chair of Trump’s U.S. House Leadership Committee.
Editor’s Note: We have confirmed that Donald Trump, who had been expected to visit Colorado ahead of the state’s GOP convention, will not be coming to the state. Eight delegates ran in 2012. Since Rubio has suspended his campaign rather than formally withdrawing, his eight delegates are also bound to him on the first vote.
Of Cruz’s delegates, only 17 were formally pledged to him, and in theory the other four could change their vote in Cleveland.
The 2016 presidential race will soon hit California, and for the first time in a long time, California’s primary race will have a major impact on deciding each party’s nominee. “That is the Kasich that we need to see”.
