We know that kids of today are much smarter than what we were as kids, but this present piece of news will still surprise you a bit. Turns out a 9-year old boy made it past the security to board a flight from Minneapolis to Last Vegas and he did this without a boarding pass. The most surprising part is that the boy underwent security screening and then he pulled off the feat of making it to Las Vegas all by himself without anybody noticing his present till the last moment.

It was a Delta flight that this particular child boarded and Delta has a policy of allowing kids to fly alone, but only if they are accompanied by an adult, at least till the departure gate. Which is why, it is all the more baffling that this 9-year old managed to make it inside the plane all by himself. In fact, Delta clearly states on its website that “if the unaccompanied minor arrives at the counter alone, the Delta agent will not be permitted to complete check in.” Clearly, this incident is an embarrassment both for Delta and for the airport officials.
The security cameras reveal the guile this 9-year old showed in fooling everyone at the airport. He waited until no one was looking and then quietly snuck past the person at the security gate to make his way to the plane. As a face saving measure, an official statement was released by the authorities clarifying that the child was screened properly to ensure that he was no threat to the aircraft in anyway.
As far as the fate of the child is concerned, it was revealed by an official that “the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and Child Protective Services there took the child into custody and were arranging his return to Minneapolis.” The mother of the boy was really concerned and had even reported her child missing. It has been revealed that the boy was recently suspended from school due to behavioral issues. It has also come to light that airport officials knew the boy because he had in the past caused trouble at the airport.

A day before his adventure, the child had visited the airport. He had picked up an unattended bag from transit and had something to eat at a restaurant there. He then told a staff member at the restaurant that he needed to use the restroom. He left the bag behind and didn’t return. It seems from the look of things that the officials at the airport can expect lot many more visits from this boy in the future.
