Wives dragged further into Trump-Cruz spat

“She’s used to the rough and tumble, I’ll tell you it is not easy to be a woman in the business world, and she is used to dealing with bullies, and Donald Trump doesn’t scare Heidi remotely”, Cruz said.

Trump wrongly attributed the ad to the Cruz campaign and warned on Twitter: “Be careful, Lyin’ Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!”

REPUBLICAN Presidential hopeful Ted Cruz called a tabloid story of alleged extramarital affairs “utter lies” and blamed Donald Trump’s “henchmen” for pushing the story.

Trump has been openly outraged over an ad by an anti-Trump super-PAC that featured his wife Melania posing nude in a picture taken back in 2000.

Trump got pissed off and threatened that he would “spill the beans” about Heidi Cruz, Ted Cruz’s wife.

In February Graham said: “If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, no one would convict you”.

“Wow @SenTedCruz, that is some low level ad you did using a picture [of] Melania in a G.Q. shoot”, Trump tweeted on Tuesday. “He begins screaming, he begins yelling, he begins often cursing and then he tried to attack and bully people and that’s his pattern he does over and over again”, Cruz said.

On the campaign trail Thursday, her rival Bernie Sanders also turned his attention to Trump.

“Donald does seem to have an issue with women”, he said.

Heidi Cruz, 43, who holds an MBA from Harvard University, is a Goldman Sachs executive in wealth management now on leave to campaign for her husband. Trump still leads in the GOP race with 739 delegates, while Cruz trails in second with 465.

The Texas senator’s biting words come less than a day after Trump tweeted about Heidi Cruz’s appearance.

At a news conference while campaigning in Wisconsin Friday, Ted Cruz denied a recently released National Enquirer report that claims “political operatives” are looking into rumors that Cruz had multiple marital infidelities.

With her tweet, the Fox News anchor was speaking for many women – and men – who were repulsed by the GOP frontrunner’s online behavior.

“And if Donald wants to get into a character fight, he’s better off sticking with me”, Cruz said, “because Heidi is way out of his league”.
