The music video is also the tenth most-viewed YouTube upload of all time.

Puth celebrated the milestone of the Furious 7 monitor by thanking his followers on Twitter yesterday (October 7).

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Puth – who co-wrote the track with DJ Frank E, who them got Wiz onboard – said the inspiration for “See You Again” was a friend of his who died in similar circumstances to Walker i.e.in a fatal auto accident. It added on its success days later when it climbed up the charts to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart to eventually dethrone Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk, which had reigned for an impressive 14 weeks. “Charlie’s vocals are incredible, so it all came together and made sense”.

“See You Again”, a duet between Khalifa and singer Charlie Puth, is a tribute to late actor Paul Walker that appeared in the film “Furious 7”. That speed is eclipsed only by “Gangnam Style”, which went from zero to one billion in just five months.
