Wladimir Klitschko vs. Tyson Fury rematch news and latest rumors: Klitschko

Tyson Fury is already at risk of losing the IBF title that he won just days ago, as the sanctioning body says his mandatory title defense takes precedent over a rematch with Klitschko.

When asked if the IBF’s decision could result in their belt being ceremonially binned, Peter Fury told Sky Sports: “Yes, absolutely”. When we were face to face at the weigh-in, he looked the same height as me, but when he took his shoes off to get on the scales he looked six inches shorter, and appeared much shorter on the night.

Anyone who wants to fight Fury is “going to have to wait, because Wladimir Klitschko has a round two… ding ding ding”, the champion added.

In the post-fight press conference, Wladimir Klitschko confirmed his intention to exercise a rematch clause in the contract with Team Fury.

Klitschko was unable to match Fury and failed to stage a comeback which led to his first loss since 2004, when Lamon Brewster defeated him via technical knockout (TKO).

Fury had a game plan and he stuck to it, keeping out of Klitschko’s reach while making some telling blows throughout the clash.

But Peter Fury believes he will lose again in a fight which could be staged in England.

According to reports, because she has gone through several miscarriages in the past, the new champion wanted to take no risks after only discovering his wife was pregnant the day before the fight.

“This fight will happen and it can happen any time from April-May onwards”. “I’m talking about an actual heavyweight title fight that ends by knockout to dethrone the long-reigning heavyweight champion in fashion and style”.

Tyson Fury accused Wladimir Klitschko’s camp of being “cheats”, saying Monday that he refused to accept any water after beating the Ukrainian in their world heavyweight title fight for fear of being drugged. “I would like it to be back here in the United Kingdom”, he said. So to say: “the fight of 2016 is in the making”, Klitschko said via The Guardian.

However, the former champ won’t back down easily as he immediately wants to cash in his rematch clause and try to recapture his title as soon as possible.

“Failure is not an option”, he concluded.
