“My injury will heal quickly enough for me to enter the ring on November 28”, said Klitschko.
It is good news for Fury (24-0, 18 KOs), 27, who this week questioned whether the bout would ever happen after suffering a fourth postponed fight in two years.
Klitschko, 39, was diagnosed with a “partial musculotendinous tear of the left calf”, but the injury was not serious.
Klitschko has dominated the heavyweight division for almost a decade, but his numerous belts will be in real danger against Fury.
The 39-year-old is likely nearing retirement, but the clash in Dusseldorf could be one of his toughest in recent memory.
Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury’s world heavyweight title bout has been provisionally rearranged for Saturday November 28.
