The victory ended Klitschko’s historic title reign.

Wladimir Klitschko has hinted at a return to the ring in a message on Wednesday, thanking his fans for their support following the loss of his world heavyweight boxing titles to Britain’s Tyson Fury.
A video of Lee’s fight with Fury from 2005 has received more than 30,000 views since being posted online in the last few days.
“We have a contract in place and therefore there are no issues anymore”, Boente said. “There’s no bigger fight than fighting Wladimir again”. And [mandatory challenger Vyacheslav] Glazkov? We were anxious Wladimir wouldn’t take the rematch. We can strike while the iron’s hot.
The report adds that the figures represent the 10th-best ratings for a fight on HBO in 2015 and that, “combined with the exclusive rebroadcast in prime time, Fury-Klitschko drew 1.714 million viewers”.
If the best business case is in the United Kingdom, for example Wembley Stadium in London, we will be there. Peter Fury suggested holding the new fight in England, possibly at Wembley Stadium.
And the Olympic champion admits the public’s appetite for a bout with Fury could make the fight happen sooner rather than later.
“He will stop him inside the distance, KO, whatever you want to call it. I am highly confident and we’re very grateful for the chance to see it again”.
“One hundred per cent he was not misquoted”, he said of Fury’s claims, describing parts of the interview as “unsettling” and described the setting and context.
Briton Fury – who has Irish heritage – is unsure who his next opponent will be but indicated he would like to fight in Ireland one day.
Klitschko’s camp has not yet responded to those allegations.
Klitschko admitted he under-performed in losing his crown to Fury in a below-par contest in Dusseldorf last Saturday night and did not take long to reject any possibility of retirement.
Fury is obliged contractually to accept a rematch, he said.
Anthony Joshua, the 2012 Olympic gold medallist who has a 14-0 professional record, is seen as a future star in the division.

But Fury’s promoter Mick Hennessy has said his charge will vacate the title before he faces the Ukrainian.
