While he was great with the fans and a nice enough guy to speak to there was no hint he would one day become the heavy weight champion of the world.

Klitschko landed a ferocious right hand again but Fury shook it off well as the fight finally caught fire.

“Absolutely point blank I will say David Haye will never get a fight against Tyson Fury after what he did to me”.

“Klitschko said there is a rematch clause in the fight contract, adding it was too soon to talk about retirement and admitted he was surprised by Fury’s speed despite his towering 2.06m frame”.

“Whatever title he gets mandatory for, I will vacate”. I congratulate him tonight.

Newly-crowned world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has taunted global boxing by insisting that he only showcased a fraction of his ability during his dethroning of Ukrainian powerhouse Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf on Saturday night.

Then Klitschko was reported to have had his fists wrapped without an observer being present, a no-no in boxing, and when Fury’s camp complained, the champion’s fists were re-strapped which briefly delayed the start of the fight.

“I know what Wladimir is capable of, but I couldn’t see any of that in the ring”.

“The Man with No Name, I tell you now, will never get an opportunity”, he fumed.

Klitschko, used to fighting shorter opponents who he can keep at arm’s length, was looking every one of his 39 years as his ponderous, orthodox style threatened to lose him the fight.

The build-up to the fight had been colourful and controversial, ranging from Fury’s appearance at a United Kingdom news conference dressed as Batman to threats by the Briton that he would pull out of the contest altogether due to issues over gloves and the ring canvas.

“Nobody believed he could do it, only me, Peter and his brother”, said Tyson’s father John Fury.

“When I say paedophiles could be made legal, it sounds insane”.

Klitschko, who is from Ukraine, dropped to a 64-4-0 record for his career and suffered his first loss since 2004. But there were times that I didn’t want to box any more.

Fury’s promoter Mick Hennessy said: “I think right now, Wembley Stadium would be very appealing at the right time of year, definitely”. Its not come easy.

“I always said what I would do and I delivered”. I tried but it didn’t work, ” said Klitschko, who at 1.98-meters (6-foot-6), was in the unusual position of facing someone taller.
