Bond has been denied for a mother charged with killing her infant son by putting him in the refrigerator for several hours. She is expected to go before a circuit court judge for a bond hearing in November. WSOC asked Blackwell’s public defender about the claim, but he said he didn’t have any information about that. Her next court date is November 10.

She was arrested by police six months after the baby died.

Blackwell’s father-in-law says he doesn’t believe she is responsible for her son’s death. After three hours passed, the woman took her son out and sought medical attention.

In the call, the man said the baby’s father was doing CPR on the young boy on a bed in the home.

The 4-day-old child’s father, Jeffrey Lewis, was previously charged with littering and violating animal control policies, records show.

Records show 35-year-old Jeffery Paul Lewis has convictions in SC dating back to 2005 arrests for petit larceny and shoplifting.

Blackwell may spend her entire life in jail if convicted.

“This case was under heavy investigation”, count coroner Terry Tinker told told the news station.

According to an autopsy, the child died from hypothermia and asphyxiation. It wasn’t known if she had an attorney.

The Chester County Sheriff’s Office charged 27-year-old Angela Blackwell with homicide by child abuse.

Blackwell was arrested Monday on a charge of homicide by child abuse.

“All I know was that the baby had died and back then nobody (knew) what happened”, said family friend Tim Houston.
