Tiffany Martinez, who lives across the street from the Bronx apartment building, told The New York Times she was shaken up by the baby’s death.

An autopsy done by the Westchester County Medical Examiner concluded the baby had died of SIDS, or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, and ruled out foul play, the sources said.

Berry was being held Tuesday in police custody pending her arraignment and couldn’t be contacted. Berry allegedly told Johnson that she had had an abortion months earlier. The girl still had her umbilical cord attached.

Police say it wasn’t immediately clear how the newborn fell or was thrown.

The horrid scene unfolded at 2:37 p.m. Monday when neighbors found the infant’s broken remains in the building’s courtyard.

Told Berry’s mother via the nypost: ‘I suspected she was pregnant, but I didn’t know for sure, ‘.

And now investigators are revisiting the death of that baby born to Jennifer Berry.

Ms. Berry worked as a child protective specialist and spent the first three months in training that took place in a classroom setting, according to a person familiar with the matter. “The medical examiner determined that the baby was alive”.

Georgia Barker, assistant district attorney, said the baby weighed 8lb – the weight of a full-term newborn. The child had just been born and only lived for a few minutes before she was killed, according to the New York Police Department.

‘The baby looked like it was new, it was on the floor covered in blood, ‘ said Sammy Batista told New York Daily News.
