Woman convicted of animal cruelty after wrapping dog’s mouth with duct tape
A judge in North Carolina on Friday found a woman guilty of animal cruelty after she put a picture on Facebook of her dog with duct tape around its mouth.

As Radar reported, she first came under fire when she posted the photo of her chocolate lab with duct tape wrapped tightly around its muzzle in November 2015.
That post sparked outrage in South Daytona as callers flooded 9-1-1 about the alleged animal cruelty.
Lemansky was given a suspended sentence of probation.
An animal control officer testified in court that Lemansky admitted taping the dog’s mouth shut and called it a joke.
The photo was captioned: “This is what happens when you don’t shut up!” But she posted it to the wrong site and received so many negative responses that the volume of social media notification messages coming into her phone kept her from using it for a while. The officer also says Lemansky did not mean to post the photo to Facebook, she meant to send it to her son. She was then tracked to Churchview Street in Cary where she was located and charged. When asked if the dog was bothering neighbors, Lemansky said no, and that duct tape was only on the dog for 15-20 seconds.
The officers acknowledged that they found no signs of hair loss or injury to Brown when they investigated the incident.

“Of course the dog can not be here and tell you it felt pain”, Pulley told the judge in his closing statement.
