Woman, daughter killed in NYC hotel; 2 other girls injured
Police are searching for a man they say stabbed his girlfriend and her three daughters in a New York City hotel, killing the woman and one of the girls.

Each was stabbed multiple times, police sources said.
The mother was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police are now hunting suspected killer Michael Sykes, Cutler’s boyfriend and father of her youngest child. But the official said a domestic incident report was filed with police Tuesday after Sykes was accused of stealing Cutler’s phone, claiming she was contacting another man.
A woman and three children have been critically wounded in a stabbing at a New York City hotel.
According to the Staten Island Advance a stabbing was reported at the Ramada Inn in Willowbrook at 535 N. Gannon Ave., just after 10:00 a.m. Four people, a mother and her three kids, were being treated at local hospitals, and at least one person has life-threatening injuries.
Mr.de Blasio said today the city would immediately stop using the Ramada Inn and would transfer the families there elsewhere.
Before Mr.de Blasio even spoke about the crime, Comptroller Scott Stringer-a potential Democratic primary challenger to the mayor-called for an investigation into security at the hotels in an e-mail to the press.
Hundreds of families have stayed in hotels in recent months as city officials determine whether they can be placed more permanently in other city facilities.
On Wednesday, city Comptroller Scott Stringer released an analysis of the city budget that shows spending on homeless services has risen 46 percent to $1.7 billion since de Blasio took office in 2014 but that the city needs to insure taxpayers are getting “a real return on investment”.
Police said Sykes lives in the Howard Houses, a public housing complex in the East New York section of Brooklyn. Investigators noted that neither Sykes nor Cutler had any significant criminal history, record of domestic violence or problems with the law.
“We continue to pull back video and we find him going into the room at about 8:50 in the morning, he leaves about 4 minutes later and we believe that’s when the attack happens”, said Boyce.

A family member told PIX 11 that Sykes admitted to the cowardly act the same morning, and fled the borough via the Staten Island Ferry.
